Those of you that know me well know that it’s no secret I am in love with Mexico. Granted, I haven’t been everywhere in Mexico, far from it! However I am keen to travel around more of the gorgeous country and experience as much as the beautiful culture as possible!
One of the places sitting highly on my list is Mazatlan. A beautiful city nestled in the Mexican state of Sinaloa.

If I went to Mazatlan I would eat at…
Topolo Mexican restaurant & wine bar! Everybody seems to be ranting and raving about how awesome the atmosphere and food is at this place! Ran and owned by Eileen & Fernando, who ‘not only share a love for each other but also shared a dream.’ With over 44 years of combined experience in the food industry it’s easy to see why this place is thought of as one of the best!
Just scoped out the menu and I would totally order the Mexican platter, hello enchilada, quesadilla and guacamole! It’s true…I’m a real sucker for Mexican food…
I would admire…
Old Mazatlan/old town. It looks like the real mexico. It’s apparently a very historic area filled with friendly locals, markets and even a beautiful cathedral.

Colourful buildings are the best! Why are they rare in the UK?! Life would be better if all houses were painted in extravagant colours! Plaza Machado is also a recommended spot in this area. It’s a central plaza full of restaurants complete with live music in the evenings and plenty of people enjoying life. I love things like this! Places full of atmosphere.
I would visit…
Angela Peralta Theater. Regardless of whether you watch a performance here or just pop in to take a look around, it’s sure to be breathtaking!

The theater has recently been restored and the lobby is apparently just as gorgeous as the rest of the marvelous decor! Sign me up, I need to see a performance here!
I would shop at…
Central public market because it looks like it’s full of culture and local magic!

Fresh fruit and a few souvenirs wouldn’t go a miss here! I would totally buy that little shell wind chime thingy too! How sweet is that!

Oh and did I mention the average spring to summer temperature here is 25 – 30 degrees Celsius! Oh yes please! Somebody get me on a plane!
Have any of you lovelies been to Mazatlan? I’d love to hear your stories of adventures! Or, if you feel there’s a different place that is a MUST visit, drop us a comment or get in touch with us on twitter or facebook to let us know!
Much Bespoke Love,
