Beauty DIY: A Floral Twist on The Plaited Bun
You may remember a few weeks ago we featured a hair style tutorial for Beach Style Waves? Well, we’re back with Isabel While from Bridal Styling with a whole new do that’s super feminine and really, really easy to create! All you need is 2 hair bands, a few flowers (ours were fake) and a handful of grips!
Over to you Isabel…
Step 1: Create a zig zag effect with the parting using a comb
Step 2: Sprinkle some ‘dust it’ by scharskopf into the root of the hair and use your comb to create volume.
Step 3: Pull back all of the hair into a ponytail and secure with a hair band.
Step 4: Split the hair in the middle just before the hair band.
Step 5: Thread the hair in the ponytail through the loop.
Step 6: Loosely plait the remaining hair in the ponytail and hold in place with a small hair band.
Step 7: Add a few (we used three) fake or real flowers into the hair by gripping them in place!
Step 8: Tong a few pieces of hair at to frame the face and create a softer look.
Step 9: You can leave the look here if you like for a plaited and pretty ‘mermaid’ look or you can continue onto step 10 for the bun!
Step 10: Take the plait and roll it up until it’s close to your head.
Step 11: Grip the rolled up plait in place until it feels secure.
Step 12: Get outside and show everyone how fab your new hair do looks because you’re done! Easy and pretty isn’t it?
Let us know how this style worked out for you if you try it, we think it would be stunning for a bride or even if you’re just feeling summery and want to jazz up your hair for the day!
Much Bespoke Love
