“Eerily Wonderful, Dark & Dramatic” – The Enchanted Forest
It’s here at last! After weeks of keeping you in suspense we are finally able to share our eerily wonderful, dark and dramatic, fantastical styled shoot named ‘The Enchanted Forest’ – our first ever styled shoot!
The inspiration was brought to us by the wonderfully talented and super sweet Alethiea of Xander and Thea. I would be lying if I said we weren’t a little nervous about the thought of pulling together a styled shoot as we generally leave these things to the professionals however, after taking a look at Alethiea’s mood boards and pinterest ideas it wasn’t long before we were sold and knew we could make it work.
We envisioned a romanesque type shoot, with a colour palette of rich purples and deep reds, highlighted with accents of gold. I was drawn to the striking imagery and dramatic landscape and couldn’t help but feel that I knew of the perfect place that we could bring this shoot to life and it was right here in the middle of the Forest of Dean.
Puzzlewood is a truly magical venue, with a maze of pathways winding through gulleys of mossy rocks and surrounded by the twisted roots of old yew trees there is something so beautiful about this old enchanted forest that knew would make it the perfect venue for our shoot. We were so amazingly lucky to be joined by some of the most talented suppliers, all of which were a pleasure to work with, despite the freezing cold and pouring rain every single person involved always had a huge smile on their face.
Everybody worked so hard to make this day happen and we couldn’t be more thankful!
