SPECTACULAR SPRING IN AMSTERDAM
We know it’s technically still Winter but with Spring on our doorsteps we just can’t help but fantasise about those beautiful blooms and rays of sunshine that will soon be creeping their way into our lives! If you’re also dreaming of Spring already then today’s styled shoot will have you falling head over heels in love! Prepare yourself for bicycles, tulips, vintage maps, globes and a whole lotta pretty!
“We LOVE summer travel! Erin {the photographer} and her husband, Paul, have traveled all through Europe and so we decided to pull a bit of inspiration from one of their favorite places — Amsterdam! There’s just something about riding bicycles on cobblestone streets and, {of course!} the tulips. Mix in our addiction to all things vintage — in this case: vintage luggage, cameras, globes, collected stamps and travel tags and some of our very favorite vendors {please see below for a complete list} and you have this little inspiration shoot! We’re calling it “Summer in Amsterdam!”
HOW TO APPLY THIS STYLE TO YOUR OWN WEDDING…
“Spring is such a great time to get married! Spring is full of new life, happy colors and warm sunshine. Capture the feel of spring by using playful colors in your flowers and attire. Colorful jewelry with a wedding dress can make the perfect statement. Multiple colors on your bridesmaids and groomsmen add a very playful look. A wedding dress that is both short and long suggest speaks glam and playful. Find the things you love and make them part of your wedding day. If you love to travel and take photos then why not fill your tables with cameras and globes. You can find endless amounts of both of these at 2nd hand shops. How about paper airplane place cards or suitcases for layering. Having custom made chalk boards is a great way to add art to your wedding. Maps of all kind make for great accents to invitations. A bicycle with a flower filled basket makes the perfect bride and groom post-ceremony exit.”
