Wedding DIY: Tissue Paper Photo Booth Backdrop!
Is it just me or do streamers make all decor look prettier? We were thinking that these would make an awesome photo booth backdrop if you were planning on doing that yourself! Oh and did I mention how easy they are to make?! SO EASY. You only need 5 items!
You will need:
♥ Tissue paper (we find that 3 or 4 different colours work best)
♥ Scissors
♥ Sellotape
♥ String
♥ Ribbon
Ready? Let’s get snipping!
Step 1: Cut a long strip of your tissue paper around 2-3 inches thick.
Step 2: Fold the paper in half, then in half again, and again until you reach a width of around 3 inches.
Step 3: Starting on one side, slice up into the paper until it reaches just below half way creating a fringe effect. Make sure the cuts are as evenly spaced as possible!
Step 4: Do the same on the other side! Remember not to cut too close to the center!
Step 5: Unfold the paper and fluff up the fringey edges!
Step 6: Do the same all over again with your other colours of paper!
Step 7: Take your string and pull it tight between two objects so it’s straight and steady!
Step 8: Start to tape the top of the streamers to the string until all are complete
Step 9: Cut your ribbon to an appropriate length and tape in place, I spaced mine 3 fringes apart!
Step 10: Hang up and admire your gorgeous backdrop!
Easy right? And so effective!
