Home DIY: How to Make a Bright & Colourful Heart Shaped Feather Wreath…

As you know since our rebrand we are all about colour, so it was natural for us to want to create something just as colourful for our cute little office. How awesome would this be for some bright and cheerful decor in your home, or as chair decorations at your wedding…if the colours don’t fit your colour scheme you can change them to suit.

You will need:

♥ Cardboard cut to the shape of a heart (or whatever shape you desire!) It doesn’t need to be perfect.

♥ Ribbon.

♥ A selection of coloured crepe paper in whatever colour you want.

♥ Glue

♥ Scissors

Step 1. First cut a square of crepe paper.

Step 2. Fold the square in half.

Step 3. Fold in half again.

Step 4. Cut out a feather shape.

Step 5. Cut small lines all the way around the curved edge of the shape.

Step 6. You should have two feather shapes.

Step 7. Gently pull or cut the two feathers apart.

Step 8. Gently unfold the two feathers.

Step 9. Continue cutting these shapes until you have a number of different feathers in all colours and sizes.

Step 10. Make a small hole in the middle of the cardboard heart. This will be for the ribbon to be threaded through so that you can hang the heart up.
