Off The Record: The Perks of Working from home…
As I’m writing this I am still in my pyjamas, which has been a regular occurrence this week, honestly I haven’t had time to get dressed. Everything has been so busy, Jess has editing coming out of her ears so I am in charge of all the behind the scenes bits of the blog and it makes me so thankful that we do have each other to fall back on, I do not know how some bloggers do it all by themselves. A huge hats off to all those lone bloggers I say!
I know its easy to say your busy all the time, actually it’s one of my pet peeves, everyone is busy right? So stop moaning about it and get on with it, you’re never going to get things done just talking about it! So I’m going to take some of my own advice and get on with this weeks off the record. Here is what we have been loving this week!
Emily Loves:
♥ INSANITY – I’m still loving working out, even if I do have to get up extra early to fit it in. I’m getting into it a bit more now and the best thing is I’m not struggling to walk after, unlike last week.
♥ My new ‘Feeling Good’ Playlist on Spotify. My favourites have to be ‘You are the Universe’ by The Brand New Heavies, ‘Third Eye’ by the Black Eyed Peas and ‘On Top of the World’ by Imagine Dragons. Instant mood lifters!
♥ Date Nights with Mr T, we walked along the docks to watch the sunset – awww how cute!
♥ Making next week’s DIY with Jess was so much fun this week, I felt a bit like Bear Grylls making things out of bamboo and tying special knots, I think she was impressed.
♥ Finding old shoes in my wardrobe that I had totally forgotten about, makes them feel new again 🙂
♥ A Beautiful Mess’s new app is AWESOME!! You have to get it! I have been filling our instagram with pictures including cute little doodles and words and frames and filters….eeeek it’s just so goddamn cute!
Jess Loves:
♥ Tapas. Especially at Mythos in Chepstow! The menu is lush and I totally indulged in calamari, meatballs, muscles and olives! nom!
♥ Adding some new bits and bobs to my room! It’s very black and white so I wanted to add some splashes of colour to it! One trip to Ikea later and it’s filled with beautiful fake flowers, aztec pillows and colourful lanterns that light up at night!
♥ My sister finishing all of her exams, it’s so nice to have her around and to want to help out with stuff on the blog! We’ve got ourselves a little intern!
♥ When my other half leaves me a love note! I found one under my pillow this week with a really sweet message on it 🙂 awww!
♥ Arranging a slumber party with Emily! Yes we’re adults. Yes you can still have slumber parties at our age and no we are not going to have a pillow fight. Ok…we might.
What we are Loving in Wedding World:
♥ I enjoyed this simple DIY over on Love My Dress on how to create envelopes and envelope liners, there is even a 15% discount thrown in from Berinmade in their DIY section so head on over and check it out.
♥ I really enjoyed reading Rock N Roll Brides latest Green Room feature ‘One Bad Review’. The feature totally resonated with me as I had a situation arise a few weeks back where I tried something which completely backfired although I was just being complementary. I did apologise for the confusion but that person still seemed intent on telling everyone about it. I felt awful and spent hours trying to compose an email to justify myself all for it to snubbed at. I then thought, why should I try to explain myself, I had tried to do something nice and if they didn’t see it that way thats there problem. I certainly have learnt to be a bit clearer in my intentions now though.
♥ This farm wedding on Wedding Sparrow is brilliant, I especially loved the pie bar and the decor is so country chic!
♥ This geometric rainbow wedding is right up my street, full of fun and colour, now thats what I’m talking about!
♥ We are loving the Oz inspiration in this styled shoot for So Sassi. Be sure to watch the video its awesome!
♥ I have been dying to see this wedding ever since I saw the sneak peek of the bouquet from Jamball on twitter a few weeks back and here it is in all its glory ‘A DIY Vegan wedding’.
Hope you enjoyed this weeks catch up, now I must go and get dressed! Until next week…
Much Bespoke Love
Emily ♥
