Food DIY: How To Make A Blue Monday Cocktail (Perfect For Hen Parties!)
Blue Monday sounds like such a sad cocktail, one you should drink to drown your sorrows! I certainly had a ‘blue Monday’ yesterday coming back from Glastonbury! I had such a fantastic time and was on a bit of a downer that it was all over, but needless to say it was awesome and I should be celebrating the amazing memories that were made! Que the Blue Monday! (I’m kidding, I can’t face alcohol for a while now!) This cocktail would work PERFECTLY as a hen party drink, not only is it pretty strong but it’s so colourful and fun! Enjoy!
P.S. I’m not joking about the strong part, this is a seriously alcoholic cocktail! Here’s how to make it…
You will need:
♥ A slice of Lemon ♥ Hundreds and thousands ♥ A martini glass ♥ 2 oz Vodka ♥ 1/4 oz triple sec ♥ 1/4 oz blue curacao ♥ Cocktail shaker ♥ Cocktail cherries (optional)
Step 1: Pour your hundreds and thousands onto a plate (just enough to rim the glass)
Step 2: Cut off a slice of lemon and rub it around the rim of the glass. (note to self: remove chipped nail varnish before doing a DIY!)
Step 3: Pop the glass upside down into the hundreds and thousands and move around until those little sweets have gathered nicely on the edges!
Step 4: Add the vodka, triple sec and blue curacao into the cocktail shaker and give it a good mix!
Step 5: Pour into the glass!
Step 6: Garnish with whatever decoration you fancy! I went for a cherry just to give it another pop of colour and something sweet to accompany the hundreds and thousands!
Enjoy and do not hold me responsible for any of the activities that occur after you’ve sipped this down! ha!
Much Bespoke Love
