A Festival Inspired Styled Shoot!
We love it when a styled shoot comes together. We love it even more when we get to feature said styled shoot. You have probably noticed there is a prominent festival feel for weddings this year so what a better way to further inspire this than with a fun festival theme? The creative minds behind this shoot have taking the idea and run with it, inspired by the idea of bringing vintage and rustic together in a brightly coloured festival style wedding complete with secret garden and tea party!
Over to Jo to tell us a little bit more about the shoot…
Lesley from The Vintage Hire.com & I had discussed organising a styled photo shoot countless times after the success of the yurt shoot Lesley had organised in 2012. We didn’t initially have any particular theme or colour in mind but knew we wanted to bring together both vintage & rustic styles & it would be in her garden … eek! When we finally got round to sorting a date & thrashing out our thoughts/colours & suppliers we would like involved for the shoot Lesley proposed a festival theme & our impulse to do a styled shoot came alive from there.
With both Lesley & I being complete nosey wedding parkers we knew there were lots of amazing #Gloswed suppliers out there that be able to help us style a festival shoot that was different from the rest, to help us not only stand out but also inspire couples planning their own weddings. The shoot itself was quite a selfish act as it is something we both love doing i.e.talking about weddings and networking with #GlosWed suppliers as well as bringing a wedding style to life. It was really important to us to showcase to brides how some simple styling can be ultra striking & doesn’t have to break the bank, Our love & passion of the wedding industry means much more to us than being the BIG dogs in our businesses, we both strive to make our wares & props as affordable as possible so this had to be reflected in the shoot too.
It was a big risk & really nerve racking organising an outdoors shoot with our unpredictable weather, although as it was a festival theme the rain & mud wouldn’t look out of place but so many talented people had put in hours of hard work it would have been a nightmare to capture the true essence of everything. My worries were totally wasted as boy the sun shone down on us, it was a glorious day (tad too hot maybe) & everyone’s designs & styling all slotted together perfectly.
There were lots of beautiful behind the scenes shots taken on the day that were being posted on facebook & twitter throughout last week so I knew it all came together beautifully but when I received the images from Christy I was blown away, Christy’s photography skills are awe-inspiring, she always captures the spirit of the style in her images.
So what do you think? Isn’t that dress just phenomenal! I don’t know about you but I am definitely feeling the festival vibe this year?
Much Bespoke Love
Emily ♥
