Off The Record: It’s Officially Autumn!

It’s officially Autumn. My outfits are slowly becoming warmer and warmer as the days go on and last night…dare I say it….I put the heated blanket on in my bed. I know, I know, I shouldn’t have but quite frankly it was a cold and dreary evening and I just wanted to snuggle into a duvet and sip down my sugary cup of tea! I’m involved with Autumn now, summer is over and it’s time to get full swing into the gorgeous orange hues that will soon be gracing the trees and begin to showcase the collection of scarves & hats and gloves that we’ve all been hiding in the cupboard for months! Anyone else getting excited for Halloween and bonfire night?! Can I get a hell yes!! Bring on the pumpkins, warm jumpers and hot chocolate I say!

♥ Celebrating James’ Birthday with him and his family!

♥ Starting to watch all of the Desperate Housewives again from series 1! I am seriously LOVING it, there’s so much you forget about! It’s such a sneaky and addictive programme!

♥ Getting creative with Em using colourful jelly to create some fun DIYs!

♥ Successfully baking my Nan’s chocolate cake following her recipe! Result!

♥ Eating potato wedges dipped in balsamic vinegar! (seriously…it’s becoming an addiction)

Emily Loves…

♥ Gabrielle Bernstein – honestly I am so in love with this woman and her philosophy on life. Her vlogs are so inspiring! I am currently making my way through all her videos, next on my list is her new book ‘May Cause Miracles’. Has anyone else read it I would love to know what you think?

♥ More cinema trips – this time we went to see ‘Rush’ and I have to admit I loved it. I wasn’t so sure I was going to like it as I know nothing about Formula 1 but I have to admit the film is real darn good. Bonus point! You get to see Chris Hemsworth’s butt! Yes Please!

♥ Visiting the Ellis Wedding Show last week and meeting some lovely suppliers. Ellis did a fantastic job and I think we may have couple of fab collaborations coming up for you in the future.

♥ Visiting a styled shoot at Mill End in Mitcheldean, in Forest of Dean. I absolutely fell in love with the quirkiness of the building, with its themed rooms and low beamed dining room. If you are looking for a unique wedding venue this might just be for you.. as they are currently in the process of applying for a wedding license.

♥ Getting dressed up in my 50’s gear on Friday night for a friends birthday party – there is nothing quite like dressing up and partying the night away with friends to clear the cobwebs!
