Off The Record: Monkeys, Movember & Messages From the Universe
We kick started this week with an amazing photoshoot for next years Weird and Wonderful Wedding World. We went along to lend a helping hand and do a little behind the scenes blogging however it wasn’t long before Jess was stepping into a dress and ‘Voila’ a model was born! I spent much of the day creating Paper pom poms (I wont be sorry if I never see a pom pom again :D), instagramming and tweeting, those of you that follow us would have noticed you were inundated with sneaky pictures of the fabulous styling, dresses and make up. I won’t give too much away as we will be blogging the shoot in a couple of weeks, but I will tell you this, it is completely candylicious!
Today we are heading off to the Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza in Birmingham. We are beyond excited to catch up with old faces and of course meet many new and most importantly see all the totally awesome things they offer! Make sure you are following us on Twitter and Instagram where we will be posting the highlights of the day.
Emily Loves:
♥ Seeing Emily Fisher’s vision and ideas come to life in the styled shoot on Monday. She honestly did such an amazing job and I was proud that myself and Jess were part of a fabulous and hardworking team
♥ Receiving messages from the universe like this one – “people with the same information make similar decisions, leading to unity, camaraderie and coordinated successes”. I really needed to hear that this week!
♥ Thor 2! Do I need to explain? The film was totally awesome and Chris Hemsworth did not disappoint, he even took his top off – ahhhhh!!!
♥ Mr T’s attempt at growing a moustache for Movember. I was chatting with Kat Hill, Alexa Loy and Erica Willoughby-Smith about moustaches on Twitter and I have to admit I am looking forward to seeing our mens attempts. Mr T is currently sporting a Freddy Mercury!
♥ Receiving flowers and chocolates off my brother for absolutely no reason. I love it when people don’t need a reason to appreciate you it means so much more than only receiving those things on special occasions.
♥ Making Banana muffins! This was my first attempt, it is no secret that I am not a great baker but I used Jess’s recipe and they tasted absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend giving them a go and if you are not the best baker like me then these are super easy to make, you really couldn’t go wrong!
Jess Loves:
♥ Tom Odell. Seriously, I think I might actually LOVE him. haha. I was surprised with tickets and went to his gig on Tuesday in Bristol. He was awesome sitting at the piano playing and singing and looking all sexy!
♥ Monkey Forest!! It’s this absolutely amazing park in Staffordshire to protect the endangered species of the Barbary macaques monkey, they have a great time just wondering around the massive park, they’re even all over the paths and walk right in front of you! It never ceases to amaze me how their characteristics are so much like ours! Fascinating!
♥ Getting away for a couple of days with James. I bought him a night away for his Birthday back in September and we decided to go this week! The hotel had a swimming pool and a sauna so it was so lush just to chill out!
♥ Getting asked to be a part of such an awesome shoot for Weird and Wonderful Wedding World! There was a model that didn’t turn up so Emily asked me to step in! I’m no model but I had a lot of fun getting dressed up and having my hair and make up done!! Photos will be on the blog soon so keep your eyes peeled!
♥ Watching Gino’s Italian Escape! Anyone else watching this?! I absolutely LOVE Italy and of course, Italian food! Just watching the show makes me hungry!
♥ World War Z. This was about as far as I was going with a scary film on Halloween because I’m not a fan of scary movies whatsoever! The crazy ass zombies were pretty horrifying but the actual story line was really interesting too!
