A Baseball Themed Wedding In A California Vineyard – Lauren & Josh
Whoever said a baseball and pretty, elegant wedding wouldn’t go together was oh so wrong! Lauren & Josh wanted to create a wedding that would symbolise ‘two old souls’ coming together and we think they’ve done it beautifully…
“Our vision for our wedding was two “old souls” coming together. We love Sinatra, classic cars and traditional elegance. For this reason Casa Real was the perfect choice. It combined our love of wine tasting, California landscape and allowed us to add our own personal fun touches.
The colors we chose were blush, ivory, and gold with touches of black. These colors were accentuated and highlighted by plenty of candlelight to give the room a rich and elegant glow.
For a bit of fun, we added touches from our favorite sport team, The Oakland A’s. Each guest received a rally towel at their place setting in traditional A’s colors with our names and the date of our wedding printed on it. The guests spun these over their heads as we were introduced into the reception room as husband and wife. When the reception was over, and continuing with our nod to the Oakland A’s, our departing guests were presented with boxes of Crackerjacks, old fashioned Coke bottles, peanuts and bubble gum to take home.
Our vision of mixing our “old soul” personalities with elegance and fun turned out perfectly and our wedding was a dream come true.”
