A Geek Chic Styled Shoot
Those of you that have been reading our blog for a little while now will have seen that we have had a new sponsor with us as of late. We love a good wedding fair and I would definitely say the Vintage & Alternative wedding fair is one of the most popular with our lovely readers.
To celebrate the return of the fair on Sunday 11th May at the Harpenden Public Halls, organiser Karen Whybro devised a shoot with some of this years exhibitors to showcase not only their talents, but as a little sneak peak into what visitors of the fair can expect. Let me tell you lovelies you will be in for a treat!
Here is what Karen had to say about the shoot… “The inspiration for our Geek Chic shoot came from the uniquely quirky and beautiful venue: The Cambridge Union Society. A truly remarkable building, with lots of nooks and crannies, the most amazing debating hall and beautiful library, it’s a hidden gem in the middle of bustling Cambridge city centre. A university building and famous debating society, the shoot always had to reflect the individualism of the venue so Geek Chic seemed a perfect choice!
Buzzing with ideas, from Harry Potter to Game of Thrones; Star Wars to comic book heroes, the wonderful wedding suppliers brought together the most amazing pieces to create a fun, funky yet beautifully stylish shoot. With retro inspired dresses by Tobi Hannah, comic book shoes & felt bouquets and wonderful photographer Alexa Loy capturing it all perfectly, the shoot combines retro cool with ultra modern geekiness.”
We are also very lucky to have an exclusive little look into behind the scenes of this shoot, so you can also see some of the suppliers in their element, hard at work…

I just love how these guys were able to take vintage retro and turn it into something modern and fun without any lace or mismatched crockery in site. Welcome to the new vintage!
So darlings let me know if you will be attending the fair, we would love to hear your thoughts?
Much Bespoke Love
