The Unique and Eclectic Wedding Carnival ‘Tie The Knot’ is Coming To Elmore Court
It’s about time a unique and alternative wedding fair came to our neck of the woods. Gloucestershire has long needed a fair like this and I am excited to announce that in April, Tie The Knot will be rocking up at Elmore Court to introduce brides to a whole new world of weddings.
Tie The Knot was created by Erica from Mr and Mrs Unique and photographer Binky Nixon after they met one Christmas a couple of years ago. After 2 years of successful fairs in Hertfordshire they decided to take Tie The Knot Wedding Carnival on tour, choosing the newly renovated Elmore Court in Gloucestershire. I spoke with these two lovely ladies about their hugely popular wedding fair and their plans for Elmore court this Spring.

How did Tie The Knot begin?
Erica: Tie the Knot came about after I met Binky one night and we both felt that where we lived in Hertfordshire, there lacked a great wedding fair that embraced everything unique and cool about weddings. So that night we decided to do something about it and Tie The Knot was born!
Binky: After chatting about the lack of exciting, quirky wedding fairs in our area and knowing lots of local talent, we wanted to come up with something new for brides to tap into – a relaxed and informal day where couples and families can come and be inspired by meeting local, talented and ‘unique’ suppliers.
What makes you different?
Erica: There are quite a few fairs that celebrate the alternative and unique nowadays, but what we promise is that the suppliers who feature are creative, hard working and passionate about what they do. We invite our suppliers to be as creative as they can with their stands, so visually you can grasp what service they can deliver.
Binky: I guess there is nothing so amazingly different to some of the other new and exciting fairs out there. We do hope though that people will come, eat, chill and listen to music. Of course meeting passionate and exciting wedding suppliers is a bonus on top.
What is a Day at Tie The Knot Like?
Erica: We like to think of it as a day event where you can come, take a look around the stall, perhaps take part in a few interactive sessions and speak directly to the suppliers. Afterwards you can grab a drink or some food and go and enjoy the grounds of Elmore. Elmore Court is just a stunning venue, full of character and charm- we are so happy to hold our first on tour event there! We will also have live entertainment, a chill out area and some marquees for you to wander around. You can even treat yourself to a specially formulated Elmore/Tie The Knot Cocktail!!
Binky: We offer inspiration in bucket loads. Weddings are a huge part of people’s lives now, they plan, they organise and every couple wants their own wedding to be different. This is where we have worked hard to source talented and passionate wedding suppliers, couples can meet then, get ideas and have a great day out. With social media at its absolute height I don’t think you can beat face-to-face contact. If you are going to have someone involved in one of the biggest days in your life, its best to meet them first, get a feel for them as a person and see what they have to offer!

Famous Last Words…
Erica: We have a number of amazing suppliers attending the fair so whether you’re looking for unique marquees, gorgeous yurts, amazing transport, creative florist, stationery, cake bakers, to wedding planners and stylist to help you visualise your day, it will be all under one roof for one day…. It’s FREE to enter as well.
Binky: If Carlsberg did wedding fairs I like to think ‘Tie the Knot’ is it, and it won’t cost you a bean!
If Binky hasn’t managed to persuade you with her famous last words I don’t know what will 🙂
We are really looking forward to attending the fair this year, meeting lots of awesome suppliers and of course lots of fabulous brides and grooms in the throes of planning their weddings. If you haven’t already, make sure you mark Sunday 6th April off as the day you will be visiting Tie The Knot at Elmore Court. Opening times are 11am till 4pm and it is completely free to enter – BONUS!
See you there!
Much Bespoke Love
