A Travel Themed Destination Wedding – Jose & Cynthia
Jose and Cynthia’s passion for travelling the world was their inspiration for a destination wedding in breathtaking Santorini. The stunning scenery surrounding the venue made for the most beautiful wedding photography. Seriously these images look like they should be on the pages of OK or Hello – hats of to Vangelis Photography!
I am super impressed with this couples endeavours to share their personalities and passions with their family. Jose and Cynthia were joined by their closest friends and family as they turned their one day event into a twelve day event, stopping off in locations such as Rome, Athens, Monaco and Cannes before stopping in Santorini to get wed.
Whilst on their travels the couple picked up memorabilia from some of their favourite places, as favours for their guests which I think is a beautiful final touch to this travel themed destination wedding. Here is Cynthia to tell you more…
We wanted something more special than just an actual wedding day, thats why we planned a 12 day wedding event, traveling with our close family and friends. We live in Miami, USA, and even though is a beautiful city, we didn’t want to have a wedding in our clear beaches or in a luxurious miami beach hotel. We dreamt of an exotic, mystic place with natural backgrounds and a place so far away no one could ever imagine to visit, that’s why we decided that Santorini was the perfect scenario. Before we arrived in Santorini, we visited, Barcelona, Cannes, Monaco, Florence, Rome, Turkey and Athens. Then we went to Ibiza for our honeymoon. Our wedding theme was “Wedding-moon under the Mediterranean sea” mixing the wedding day and the honey moon. We wanted to give to our guests an experience and a piece of memory from every city visited, so we gave a Treasure Box with special authentic things from every country.
