HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! I am so excited to be spending the day with my gorgeous mummy today. I will be joining my bro in the kitchen kicking up a storm to celebrate. It will be nice to spend some time with my family as this week has been pretty shitty. Jess has been struck down with the dreaded flu all week and Me and Mr T have been left devastated after the death of our gorgeous little Kitty – Gohan.
I know that there will be a few of you that will not be able to understand how the death of a pet can leave you devastated however for me and Mr T our cats are our babies, they are our family and we treat them as such. Since we lost her on tuesday, the house has been horribly quiet, her brother Popo has been wandering the house calling for her and I can literally feel my heart breaking.
More than anything her death has made me realise just how much we can take the people and things we love for granted. I was always moaning at the fact she constantly demanded my attention when I was trying to work, when really I should have been taking the time to give her cuddles, after all it’s the special little moments with our loved ones that are the most important. For this reason I implore you to take some time to enjoy those little moments this week, whether it be out walking the dog, snuggling on the sofa with your kitty, bathing your children or seeing the smile on your mums face as you give her those beautiful flowers today. Cherish those moments they won’t be around forever!

This video had me in tears as this week, as it followed the first steps of a caged hen called ‘Cinderella’ who had been rescued and sent to live the rest of her days in the warmth of the sun, where she was able to feel the soil and grass underneath her feet. If it makes just one person think twice about the type of eggs they buy I will have done my job.
