A Fun London Landmark Engagement Shoot – Magan & Pri

No matter where you live in the world I think it’s easy to take your surroundings for granted, something in your country that may not seem like a big deal to you could mean the world if they could to see it to someone else and that’s what I love most about Magan & Pri’s engagement. They both live in London and have made so many memories there together that it made perfect sense to celebrate that fact in their engagement shoot with the wonderful & iconic landmarks of London!

“We met completely randomly at the beach in Bournemouth. We both came from London with our friends and the two groups ended up sitting next to each other on the crowded beach. I asked Pri to take a picture of my friends and he agreed if I would take a picture of his… except he didn’t have a camera. “How will I give you the picture?” “Why don’t you take my business card and email me…” A week later I emailed the picture to Pri and that started an email & phone exchange until we had our first date three months later. ”

For Magan’s birthday in May 2013 Pri took her back to the same spot in Bournemouth where they had met in August 2007. As they got closer to the spot, there was a message in the sand “Will you marry me” along with a picnic blanket, chocolate cake, flowers and a beautiful diamond ring.

“We chose London landmarks for our engagement shoot because the city will always be a special place for us. Early in our dating relationship we used to walk along the Southbank taking in the views of Big Ben, Tower Bridge, London Eye, etc. As soon as we decided to have an engagement shoot we knew we would have a London theme.”

“Jacob and Pauline did a really good job of helping us to relax and feel like ourselves. At first we were nervous, but after a few jokes and trying different poses we soon got into it and started to forget about the cameras. I would definitely recommend an engagement photo shoot before your wedding day because you will get to know your photographers, you can try out different poses and see what you like, and you’ll know exactly what to do on your big day.”

How sweet is that? I love how they chose such an iconic city as London to have their engagement shoot, not just because London is iconic but because it means something very special to them, and that’s what it’s all about.
