Chocolate Covered Funfetti Donut Hole Cake Pops
Hello you lovely lot! We have another sweet treat for you today. We are continuing with the confetti theme as so many of you loved our Confetti Sprinkle Cake that we shared with you last week. Pretty simple and fun to make these donut hole cake pops are the perfect addition to a sweet table and they look pretty darn cute too!
You Will Need: 1 Litre of Vegetable oil for frying// 2 eggs// 300g Plain flour// 225ml Milk//140g Sugar// 3 tsp Baking Powder// Pinch of Salt// 75g Melted Butter// Vanilla Pods or 1tsp Vanilla Extract// 200g White Chocolate// Cake Sprinkles// Cake pop Sticks//
Step 1: Mix all your dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
Step 2: Beat the eggs, milk, melted butter and vanilla into the dry ingredients until you have a smooth batter.
Step 3: Add in the vanilla.
Step 4: Leave the batter to rest in the fridge for around 30 minutes.
Step 5: Heat the oil in a large pan until about 180C (356F).
Step 6: Carefully drop teaspoonfuls of the batter into the oil and fry, turning all the time until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Step 7: Drain on kitchen paper.
Step 8: Using a pair of kitchen scissors trim all the excess images so that you have ball shaped donuts and insert your cake pop sticks.
Step 9: Melt your chocolate in a pan and transfer to a bowl. You are now ready to dip your donut holes in the chocolate and cover with confetti. Leave to set in the fridge for a couple of minutes and enjoy!!!
If you are not a lover of white chocolate, dark chocolate tastes as equally amazing! These made such a great alternative to cake pops and in my opinion were a lot easier to make and totally delicious.
