A Southern California Surfing Engagement Session: Tarrah & Zak
If you have ever wondered how to make your engagement session just a little bit more interesting you need to take note because todays couple along with their insanely talented photographer, completely nailed what it means to have a unique and personal engagement session. I will let Ian from Shoots the World tell you more about his idea for this lifestyle engagement session…
“I met Zak and Tarrah a few years ago at a wedding I was shooting in Mexico. At the time they were just dating, and they were just so good together and very much in love. Some point that night I told them that I would see them again when they got engaged.
When Zak and Tarrah got engaged, they were moving from the Cayman Islands to Southern California (One of my favorite areas to shoot!). Knowing that they love the water and a shared passion for surfing I knew what we needed to do.
Starting this past year I wanted to change up my typical engagement sessions. I was tired of the typical sessions that never reflected who the couple was. I started shooting lifestyle engagement sessions that truly reflected shared passions of the couple. Zak and Tarrah were a great example of this, as every Sunday morning they would get coffee, donuts, their dog and surfboards and hit the beach (walking distance from their house), so that is what we decided to capture as their engagement session together! So fun and so them.”
