DIY Apricot Donut Glaze
We love Donuts, so for today’s DIY we would have a little play around with some different glaze’s and boy ‘o’ boy am I glad we did. I am currently hooked on Apricots, my nan let me try some homemade apricot jam last week and I haven’t been able to get enough since so it only made sense that we make an apricot glaze and ‘oh my gosh’ it was so good! You have to try it!
You Will Need – 4 Plain Donuts// 128g Icing Sugar// Splash of water// Orange food colouring (optional)// 96g Apricots//
Step 1: Peel & de-stone the apricots.
Step 2: Place the Apricots in the blender with your splash of water and puree.
Step 3: Move the mixture into a mixing bowl and start adding the icing sugar a little at a time so that the glaze is well combined.
Step 4: Now dip the top of each donut into the mixture and leave to dry until the glaze is tacky, this should only take a couple of minutes. For extra coverage you might want to spoon the glaze over top of the donuts.
Now you are ready to eat them and beware they are more-ish! Have a great week guys!
Much Bespoke Love
