Glitter? Check. Cocktails? Check. Striped straws? Check. This photo shoot is all sorts of pretty with it’s indulgent pink & gold colour scheme teamed with fresh fruit, sweet treats and a beautiful cake! What more could you ask for? It’s one glittery, elegant fiesta up in here!

“What I like about styled shoot is that I can explore my creativity. I see a movie, an object, a form, a color, and it starts me thinking… then, it’s just a matter of finding the right people to follow me! For this shoot, it started with the movie The Grand Budapest where the scenery and photography are very Pink and I thought it would be a brilliant idea for a wedding theme, so what about having a styled shoot around that? And then adding some gold and glitter would be perfect for a glamorous, modern and classy touch. I teamed up with Laura, and together we gathered a bunch of very talented people. We couldn’t hope for a better result! We ended the shoot with the bride and groom blowing glitter at me! A very magical finish! (Which left me with glitter in my hair for weeks!)”

“I wanted this shoot to feel really fun – it was great to play with the colour palette offsetting the feminine pinks with some blush tones and gold accents. To heighten the impact of the shoot we shot against the wonderful textures of the walls at the venue – The Barn at The Cross Keys. I wanted the styling to come across as playful, with a less formal feel and for the images to look like the guests at this celebration would be enjoying a great party. Each of the place settings have pink doilies to give the place settings a pale blush basis, contrasting beautifully with the gorgeous bright pink of the menus for each guest. The hand crafted stationery from Curious Me Design draws the eye on the table with a very modern watercolour wash on textured paper. The calligraphy in white contrasts and highlights the bold pink, while the sweet straw tags compliment the menus and are a fun way to show off the couple’s initials. Paired with a delicious cocktail and the added touch of an American-style candy striped straw from The Sweet Hostess, the table is an exciting explosion of colour. The gold sequin linen brings some sparkle to the party and shows off the beautiful pinks of the table, whilst picking out the delicate gold detailing on the invitations. The first dress for our bride by Jacqueline Byrne is structured and delicate and is beautifully complimented by a gorgeous traditional bouquet by Ivy Pip and Rose. The hairstyle was also more formal and the touches of gold detailing on the dress were reflected in the delicate pink and gold headband by Cherished Vintage. Our handsome groom mirrored the bride with a gold tie and pocket square, with stylish attire from A Suit That Fits. Keeping everything very natural we then transitioned into a more relaxed and bohemian bridal look. The second dress, also by Jacqueline Byrne is off the shoulder and has the most incredible floral detailing as a focal point on the back. This time a more deconstructed bouquet compliments the attire, giving these images a more organic feel. The stunning detail and colours of the intertwined flowers on the dress are exquisitely highlighted by elements of the bouquet. The cake brings together all the strands of colour from the table and features the same flowers. The gold detailing on the top of the cake is pretty and unexpected and looks striking sitting among the rows of delicious cocktails and sweets! Jean-Marc has done such a fantastic job with the images and we’re really excited to share our bubbly, fun shoot with you!”
