3 Red Wine Winter Cocktail Recipes
Just because summer is over doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy a good winter cocktail, am I right?! There’s something so fun about trying out new recipes and seeing what works and what doesn’t and then finally having something delicious at the end of it! Me and Emily spent an afternoon last week mixing up different cocktails to try (it’s a hard life) and we’re proud to announce these 3 red wine cocktails all made from the same bottle, which you can get through wine delivery UK! So without further ado…wine at the ready….
The Winter Warmer
You will need: 120ml Red wine // 30ml (1 shot) Cognac //1 handful of ice // 1 teaspoon vanilla flavouring // 120ml Water // 2 Cinnamon sticks // g sugar
Step 1: Add the sugar, water, vanilla flavouring and cinnamon sticks to a small saucepan.
Step 2: Bring the mixture to a boil, and stir to dissolve the sugar. Then reduce to a low heat and boil for about 5 – 1o minutes until the mixture is thickened.
Step 3: Take the mixture off the heat and remove the cinnamon sticks. Leave to cool completely by popping it in the fridge.
Step 4: Add the wine, cognac and your just made cinnamon syrup to a glass filled with ice. Then squeeze the lemon into the cocktail and stir!
The Big Chill
You will need: 225ml Red wine // 75ml Lemon & lime soda // Handful of ice // Pomegranates // Lime //
Step 1: Fill your glass with ice, sliced lime & pomegranates.
Step 2: Take your wine and fill the glass 3/4 way full, top off with 1/4 lemon & lime soda & stir!
The Naughty But Nice
You will need: 120ml Red wine // Handful of ice // 150g Mixed Berries // 1 Teaspoon Sugar // Whipped Cream // Coco Powder // Blender //
Step 1: To create the slushy mixture add the wine, mixed berries, sugar & ice to a blender and mix until you’re happy with the consistency. You can add more ice at this point if you need to!
Step 2: Pop the mixture into the freezer for 2 to 3 minutes
Step 3: Pour the slushy into your glass then top with whipped cream and sprinkle your coco powder on top!
