Off The Record: Happy Mail, Home Alone & Having Girlie Nights!
This week truly has been a week of celebrations and getting in the mood for Christmas! We started off with a thanksgiving dinner, did a bit of Christmas shopping and I’ll be ending the week with a weekend away in Birmingham, i’m off to the Good Food show and cannot wait to taste the creations on the different food stalls! (Hello mince pies) For now though, here’s what else we’ve been loving this week…
JESS LOVES…
♥ Celebrating Thanksgiving with the girls! We had so much indulging in lots of yummy food and chatting the night away, I love nights like that, it always makes me feel so grateful for being a blogger!
♥ Going to Nan’s for a roast dinner. Am I right in saying that all Nans make the best roast dinner? I’m pretty sure that’s a fact actually.
♥ Christmas shopping at The Mall! I love all of the Christmas decorations and Winter Wonderland they put up and the cold crisp air made it feel extra festive!
♥ The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay part 1! Oh my god. So good! Only a year until the next one comes out now haha
♥ Happy Mail! I received mine from A Beautiful Mess in the post this week and I am so in love with it! I’m already excited to receive next months package and this one only arrived a couple of days ago, I just can’t get enough!
♥ Watching Home Alone, Elf, The Grinch, Miracle on 34th Street, The Holiday, yep pretty much been watching all the Christmas films this week!
♥ Making James’ advent calendar! It’s become quite a tradition now and I absolutely love buying little presents and treats to fill it with, sometimes coming up with a plan to make them all fit into an advent calendar proves a tad difficult but that’s all part of the fun!
EMILY LOVES…
♥ Getting the house ready for the thanksgiving dinner with lots of decorations! We decided we wanted a bright, modern and geometric theme for our dinner so we made a colorful back drop, pretty garlands, lots of confetti and fun place names for our guests. It was lots of fun and the final results were pretty darn amazing if I do say so myself!
♥ Indulging in so much yummy food! Honestly after all that, I didn’t think I would be able to eat for weeks, but it was worth every bite!
♥ Having a girly night in, chatting all things blogging, putting the world to rights and generally having a good old natter!
♥ Spending the day with one of my besties and her little boy. He makes me laugh so much, I love seeing the world through a childs eyes it’s so refreshing and innocent!
♥ Date day with Mr T! After a horrific few weeks, I am so pleased to say that he is back on the mend and we were able to spend the day having a little shop around Bristol and checking out the christmas markets. We did have to make a few little rest stops but it was such a relief to see him back on his feet!
♥ I know Jess has already mentioned it but we also went to see The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay part 1 this week and I absolutely loved it! I was so excited to see this one, it has felt like the longest year of my life waiting for it and it certainly didn’t disappoint!
♥ Having a good old sort out! I think spring cleaning has either hit me a little late or early this year? I have decided it is time for a office refresh so I have done away with all the old decor ready for the new to make way. Now all I need is a couple of grand to kit it out just the way I would like…. anyone?
