An Intimate Bridal Brunch in A Christmassy Cabin +Planning Tips
IT’S CHRISTMAS!!!! I hope you’re enjoying yourself on this epic day and that you’re eating lots of yummy food and making memories with family and friends! Today it seemed only fitting to share this beautiful festive bridal brunch with you. I absolutely adore the idea of getting all cosy in front of a fire in a warm log cabin, accompanied by friends, hot chocolate and maybe even some sweet treats too! And that’s exactly what today’s gorgeous styled shoot is all about, here’s an intimate bridal brunch in a cute Christmassy cabin…
“The concept of this shoot was an intimate bridal brunch in a cabin with a bride and her 2 closest girlfriends. We were surrounded by mountains and nestled on the hilltop of a vineyard and I wanted the “bridal party” to just relax by the fire all cozied up with mimosas and hot chocolate in warm winter cabin attire! I have always wanted a holiday smorgasbord of sweet treats and I wanted the girls to be able to feel like they could indulge and relax!”

Tips For Planning Your Bridal Brunch During Christmas Season
Bridal brunches and Christmas—two celebrations brimming with joy, warmth, and sparkle. Why not marry them (pun intended)? Imagine the scent of cinnamon wafting through the air, your friends toasting with cranberry mimosas, and twinkling lights reflecting on cozy winter decor. A Christmas bridal brunch is not just an event; it’s a memory wrapped in tinsel. Here’s how to make it unforgettable.
Venue: Finding the Right Christmas Charm
When picking a venue, think beyond the obvious. While upscale restaurants are always a win, a cozy home filled with candles and poinsettias or a rustic cabin in the woods can add that extra holiday charm. If you opt for a rental space, book early—December calendars fill up faster than a snowman melts in July.
Our Experience: Last year, I attended a bridal brunch in a decked-out greenhouse. It felt like stepping into a Hallmark movie, complete with ivy-wrapped beams and a hot cocoa bar. The bride’s face lit up brighter than the fairy lights strung around us!

Invitations: Setting the Tone Early
Your invites should scream “Christmas magic meets bridal elegance.” Think glitter-dusted cards with wreath motifs or digital e-vites with animated snowflakes. For added flair, include a dress code—think red and gold glamour or cozy knitwear vibes.
Our Experience: A bride I worked with once added mini candy canes to her paper invites. It was such a sweet touch (literally!) and set the festive tone beautifully.
Menu: A Feast Fit for the Festive Season
Food makes or breaks a party, and a bridal brunch is no exception. Pair traditional brunch favourites like quiche and smoked salmon bagels with holiday delights like peppermint pastries and spiced apple cider. Don’t forget a signature drink—cranberry mimosas or mulled wine scream Christmas cheer.
For dessert? Bring out the gingerbread cookies and perhaps a festive croquembouche for that wow factor.
Our Experience: At a brunch I covered, they had a pancake station with festive toppings like crushed candy canes and eggnog syrup. It was so popular even the bride abandoned her table to make one herself!
Decor: Deck the Halls (and Tables)
Nothing sets the mood like thoughtful decor. Start with evergreen garlands and add ornaments, candles, and gold-rimmed tableware. A mistletoe chandelier over the main table? Pure magic. DIY touches, like name cards with tiny bells or ornament favors, can also make guests feel special.
Our Experience: A bride once had a “wishing tree” where guests hung handwritten holiday wishes for her marriage. It was not only touching but also a stunning focal piece for the room.

Balancing Bridal Traditions with Christmas Cheer
Here’s where it gets fun. Mix Christmas games like Secret Santa with bridal activities like “How Well Do You Know the Bride?” Guests can decorate ornaments with personal messages for the couple or take part in a photo booth with Christmas-themed props.
Our Experience: I attended a brunch where guests decorated cookies in the couple’s wedding colours. The results? Equal parts adorable and delicious.

Timing and Comfort: The Final Touches
Timing is key during the busy holiday season. Morning or early afternoon works best to avoid party overlap. For outdoor or semi-open venues, provide blankets, heaters, or even hand warmers to keep guests cozy.
Our Experience: At one chilly garden brunch, the bride handed out plaid scarves as both favours and practical accessories. Everyone loved it, and it looked great in photos.
A Toast to Love and Festivity
A bridal brunch during Christmas is more than just a party; it’s a reflection of love, joy, and togetherness. With a little creativity and attention to detail, you’ll create an event that guests (and the bride) will cherish forever.

Warm, cozy, and cute!
Hi…I am a realtor and trying to put together a video to entice buyers during the off season. I sell waterfront properties in the Finger Lakes. The video would include pictures of snow shoes and ice skates and hot chocolate with kids and coats etc. I then came across your blog and saw these great photos, the one with the pillow on porch swing, the hot chocolate et. I am wondering if I can use a couple of the pics to put my video together and of course give you credit to the photography. By the way…I love your site.
Kindly,
