This is How We Do… A Disney Wedding: Stephanie & Sam

Planning a wedding can be stressful at the best of times, let alone when you are practically planning a wedding from the other side of the world, but today’s bride had been dreaming about her day for a long time. In fact she had been dreaming long enough to know exactly how her day would look and pan out. Once engaged it was time to put the wheels in motion and make her dreams come true.

We asked Stephanie to tell us more…

“Long before Sam and I were even engaged, Disney weddings were on my radar. Fast forward a few years to our engagement, and we were pretty much sorted from the start. We both knew exactly what we wanted for our Disney wedding and how the day would plan out!

We invited 15 guests come out to Orlando with us, which was the perfect sweet but not too small amount. Our wedding was held on the Beach at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotel, we had cake and toasts to follow before having Donald and Daisy come and say hi. They were probably one of our most expensive things from the wedding, but one I’m so glad we did. I got giddy when I saw them in their “smart” outfits, and it made the day even more amazing…..but I could say that about everything.

After photos we were transported to the Grand Floridian hotel, where we had a normal dining reservation at Grand Floridian Cafe. In the evening we finished the day off perfectly with our very own dessert party! It was the perfect view of the castle, on our private terrace, with a bar and the best desserts you could dream of.

Having a destination wedding really worked for us, we were able to afford what we wanted in the most magical place to us. It’s something I still get excited about, love to talk about and even answer questions about for future S&D and Disney brides.”
