WINTER GLAM WITH A TOUCH OF URBAN ROCKABILLY
Can we all just stop and take a minute to absorb how drop dead gorgeous that gold antler and flower combo is?! Talk about a show stopping crown! Today’s shoot is another utterly cool collaboration from Zebra Music and features urban rockabilly styling, a hint of winter glam and don’t even get me started on how beautiful the beaded dresses are! Make sure to watch the video at the end too, you will not be disappointed!
ABOUT THE SHOOT…
We enjoyed playing with winter themes and giving them the zebra music touch. Rockabilly is one of the earliest styles of rock and roll and was explosive in the 50`s. Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly are just some of the artists who started the Style. The shoot took place at “Kastiel” which was the perfect urban setting for a winter day. Kastiel is a boutique event venue in south Tel Aviv with an uptown vibe in a down town location which makes it real unique! On a rainy day it’s fun to read a book, snack a sown flack Cupcake, go outside and enjoy Romantic stroll in the puddles, or just open an umbrella and indulge in childhood nostalgia. The brides dressed in Eisen-Stein 2015 collection and grooms in the new trends by David Sassoon.
We placed in the middle of the road a canopy full of flowers created by the talented designer Mayan Carmi from ” Bambi events”. The models stopped the traffic in every way! We also decided to set a heavy motorcycle at the center of the venue in areal Rockabilly vibe to symbolise a romantic scene from the movie Cry baby with Johnny Depp. Which was perfect for the Zebra Music visual soundtrack of winter and rock and roll in the rain. The Highlight for us was the model with antlers as deer in a snowy winter, she looked like the Perfect winter jewel, a creation of Efrat Cassuto. Like a magical and gentle creature playing with fallen leaves!
HOW TO APPLY THIS STYLE TO YOUR OWN WEDDING…
Think about your winter colour scheme to help tie your theme together, here the colours that are the most prominent are white, gold and a beautifully subtle orange teamed with a deep pink!
A paper arch like that could TOTALLY be DIYd and the best news is it would look awesome in any colour scheme, head on out to your local craft store, pick up some tissue paper and get crafting those paper flowers!
Did you catch those gold geometric tree decorations too? We featured a tutorial for some pretty decs just like them back in December, simply swap out our bright colours for some gorgeous gold card!
