WHO SAYS STEAMPUNK CAN’T BE COLOURFUL?
When I envision steam punk I always think of dark copper colours teamed with all sorts of metal contraptions and cogs…today’s shoot takes that idea and flips it on it’s head! It’s here to show you that you can still marry beautiful bold and bright colours with that ultra cool steampunk style…
ABOUT THE SHOOT…
“Isha Foss created the most intense booth at a bridal event last year that was completely steam-punk inspired and original, and when we saw it, we knew we needed her on board for our stellar style shoot. We decided to ask our hair and make-up artist, Liz, to be fun and bold for a day and get in front of the camera with her children for steam-punk meets soft and romantic. We are in love with the way our florist and coordinator, Isha, brought bright and vibrant colors into the shoot, and how Liz rocked the camera. We love that not all brides are the same, and not all weddings are traditional, and we want to see that represented more in the world, and were so happy to be part of it!”
HOW TO APPLY THIS STYLE TO YOUR WEDDING…
Most steampunk shoots we’ve seen are very dark and grungy, instead, try to pick out the elements of steam punk that will still keep the theme strong like cogs, mixed metals and keys then use light colours to brighten everything up! Choose vibrant pinks flowers to bring the main amount of colour into your day and even use items like napkins, cutlery and place settings to bring that pop of pink into your styling!
