OFF THE RECORD: FANCY COCKTAILS, FEELING BLISSED & FIFTY SHADES OF FUNNY

Hi folks! I hope you have all had a fabulous week. Its been busy at BB HQ as we have been busy filming new YouTube videos and getting ready for a quick trip to London next week for a few businessy bits and bobs! I absolutely love working from home and having my own schedule but I equally love being able to get out and travel now and again too. Staring at the same four walls can make you go a little crazy from time to time. Anywho here is what we have been loving this week….

EMILY LOVES…

♥ Hanging out with Jess and heading to the cinema to watch ’50 Shades of Grey’. We were totally unsure about whether or not to watch it, not wanting to buy into the hype or anything, but I am so glad we did. Although we did spend half the film behind my scarf totally cringing, we actually thought it was a great film and I cant wait to see the next one!

♥ Creating our final YouTube video for our ‘Month of hearts’. There were lots of sweeties, cupcakes and donuts – which we got to eat after of course!

♥ Heading to Bath to meet Ali & Dom of Prezola and basically taking over their house for the day, styling lots of their fantastic products. Make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel to see the full video!

♥ Shopping! I was in desperate need of some retail therapy this weekend and boy oh boy did I make the most of it. I am so ready for the summer so it was time to start stocking up on shirts, skirts & trousers of all different colours! I am slowly starting to see a rainbow forming in my closet!

♥ After some pretty hardcore gym sessions last week I thought I would treat myself to some morning yoga to stretch my aching muscles. I used to do yoga all the time and I was surprised by how quickly I have lost my flexibility. I am now making it my mission to dedicate much more time to some yoga sessions, I finished feeling totally blissed. It is exactly what you need after a manic week!

♥ I can’t leave without mentioning Broadchurch can I? It has pretty much taken over my life for the last couple of months and I am now coming to terms with the fact it is over! What am I going to do on a Monday night now (besides get a life?) I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and was shocked by the final revelations. I won’t give too much away just in case you haven’t caught up with it yet, but all I can say is thank goodness there is a 3rd series to look forward too!

JESS LOVES…

♥ Pub Quiz! Is that lame?? I don’t even care! I really enjoy having a few drinks and a laugh as we attempt to know and guess some of the ridiculously hard questions! It’s all fun!

♥ 50 Shades Of Grey. Yep, I’m not even ashamed to say I liked it! Granted, it was so cringey at times but some of it was actually quite funny and I think there’s so much more to it than all of the sex. I’m going to have to read the second book now just so I can find out what happens!

♥ Making homemade Mojitos! I am already addicted to mint so when the weekend rolls around and I fancy something a little special I am loving mixing up a couple of these cocktails!

♥ Heading to the home of Ali & Dom, founders of Prezola for a fun shoot! We dragged Emily from Mermaid Gossip along and Grant from Rhubarb Martini did a fantastic job on the filming. We can’t wait to share what we got up to with you!

♥ Working at Nan & Gramps for the day. Sometimes I find i’m so much more productive if I get out of the house and go somewhere else for the day! Plus I get completely spoiled while I’m there with yummy food and an abundance of tea!

♥ Booking and organising our trip to London next week! We have some exciting things planned and will be visiting the fabulous Upper Street and meeting up with our friends at Cricut!
