A DAY OF LOVIN’, GRUBBIN’ & GROOVIN!!
Todays shoot is totally appealing to my inner hippie! Psychedelic colours, groovy tunes and the most chilled out couple around! Honestly this has to be the most happiest shoot I have ever laid eyes on and wait until you see the pink guitar! Yes, you heard me right PINK GUITAR!!! For those of you suffering post Coachella blues, this shoot is just the therapy you need…
You’re invited to join us for a day of lovin’ grubbin’ and groovin’ with this hippie chic wedding. It was important to us to keep the feeling of this inspirational shoot light hearted and fun but yet still full of love. Each detail was meant to reflect the personalities of our nature friendly music playing bride and groom. You can tell from the personalized invitation that the wedding you will be rsvp-ing to is going to be a day filled with happy tears and laughter. The invitation is also very personal as you would only know the whereabouts of the ceremony and reception if you knew the bride and groom very well, which to us gives a special element of invite only (and shoes optional).
Although we kept everything simple, our bride Traca could not be more elegant and beautiful! From her floor length veil to her flowered head piece she screams style. It was also important to us that Dax had his own style on his wedding day. His flowered suspenders were the perfect groom accessory for this flower child wedding.
When I think hippie, I think love first. That is why we wanted our “escort cards” to be so personal. Dax and Traca love each of their friends and wanted to capture them and their characteristics that set them apart. Plus, personalized popsicles that actually look like your guests also make a fun game of “find yourself amongst friends”.
In our shoot we included a new idea for a first look. The fabric banner is a really great DIY project and inexpensive to make. Their first look has a secluded and romantic tone while our couple is alone in the woods. With only fabric between them Traca and Dax can feel the love radiating before Traca reveals herself in her veiled look. Did I mention she looks stunning in her veil?!
Considering that our couple are both music loving guitar players it couldn’t have been more fitting to feature their musical instruments. I hope that the fact that Dax’s vows are written as music hasn’t escaped your attention. Traca will now always have a song written specifically for her and whenever she hears it it will remind her of the most important day of her life. I can already picture their 50th wedding anniversary and Dax breaking out the guitar….
