STYLING FESTIVAL WEDDINGS WITH FREE PEOPLE!
Hello lovelies! I hope you are having a wonderful week so far? We have been so excited about sharing today’s shoot with you! A few months back we were contacted by one of our favourite EVER clothing companies, American boutique Free People, to see if we would like to work on a collaboration. At first we were a little shocked, Free People – THE FREE PEOPLE, wanted to work with us and to top it off they wanted us to do something that we love, which was of course DIY’ing and styling a festival wedding! We couldn’t wait to get started, so we surrounded ourselves with some of the very best in the wedding industry to bring it all together and there are not enough words to describe what a fantastic job everyone did.
Lizzie of Wedding Yurts, provided us with the most stunning location for her yurts, at Maisemore Court Farm. As I strolled through the gates that morning, the sun was shining the birds were chattering, the lake was glistening and it just felt perfect for a festival wedding. Everything was so chilled and relaxed – I was definitely feeling that festival vibe! She did the most incredible job styling the yurts and the ‘Help Yourself!’ bar area inside was phenomenal! There were all types of glorious fruits, edible flowers and later that day we treated ourselves to the most delicious champagne cocktails with elderflower and gin.
It wasn’t long before Clare of Lilyfee was setting up her DIY flower stand outside and we were delighting in all the beautiful flowers we were going to get to play with later. She had arranged extravagant floral crowns and the bouquets were extraordinary! Everything was coming together so well and it really made me stand back and notice, just how much love and care suppliers put into making sure every single wedding they work on is perfect! Lizzie’s husband had made that stand out of pallet wood that morning – now thats commitment!
Once Madeline Adler of Wedding Paint had arrived to do our hair and makeup, the party really started, she never fails to make us laugh and as with everyone else, she did a fab job of making us looking awesome (if I might say so myself!). We couldn’t wait to get into our gorgeous Free People Dresses, Jess wore the ‘Open Waters Charlotte Dress’ and I wore the ‘Wallflower Tent Dress’ – both of which I personally think would be awesome as both an outfit for a guest or a bridesmaid.
Our photographer Ilaria Petrucci and our gorgeous friends, Sofia & Elena from Costa Sister productions were on hand to capture the whole day and I think it goes without saying that these ladies have some serious talent! The moment I saw the images from Ilaria I just knew we had created something special and once we had received the final edit of the video from the Costa’s, I was blown away! We feel honoured to have worked in such magnificent company!
We had such a wonderful time working on this project for Free People and I hope this shoot has inspired your festival wedding. If you haven’t already taken a look at Free People, I would highly recommend that you check out their collections whether you are looking for bridesmaids dresses or even just if you are a guest looking for the perfect summer outfit.
What’s even more exciting is that Free People have just launched their very first bridal collection –FP Ever After Bridal, so if you are looking for something a little dreamy, boho, chic or modern you simply have to take a ganders, you would be mad not to!
Peace out! xxx
