MAKE THIS GOLD PINEAPPLE DRESS FOR YOUR BRIDESMAIDS!
I don’t know about you but I would LOVE to see a wedding with the bridesmaids in patterned pineapple dresses! I think it’s a super fun idea, especially for the summer and having the pineapples in gold adds that touch of extra glamour to the dresses! Making your own couldn’t be easier either, here’s how to do it!
YOU WILL NEED:
A Cricut (We used the Explore Air) // Gold Iron On Transfer Paper // This template // A plain white dress // An Iron //
Alternatively if you don’t have a Cricut, simply print this template onto printable iron on paper and iron on! It won’t have the same glittery effect but it will still look super cute!
STEP 1:
Upload the pineapple template to the Cricut Design Space and size it to around 2 inches wide. You’ll then want to copy and paste it to until you have enough to fill your mat with pineapples. We filled a 12 x 12 inch mat and that was enough to cover the entire front of the dress.
STEP 2:
Load your mat into the machine with your gold iron paper and hit go!
STEP 3:
Peel away your pineapple shapes and heat up your iron ready.
STEP 4:
Iron your dress so that the fabric is warm, then press one of the pineapples into where you would like it and begin to iron it on. Allow to cool then remove the liner.
STEP 5:
Finally, repeat with as many or as little pineapples as you like! Be sure to move the shape of the pineapple in different directions too!
Tell me, what do you think? Is this not the perfect summer bridesmaids dress or what?! I’ll let you in on a little secret too, we bought the plain white dress for £10 from ASOS! Total bargain!
P.S. How cute was our little helper for our the day?! xx
I love this so much! It would look really awesome on Pink too!
Think of the possibilities……… *goes off to dream of transforming all her dresses*
Many thanks! 🙂
