RETRO COLOUR POP INSPIRATION WITH THE COOLEST WALL MURAL!
This retro-vintage styled bridal shoot took place at the Lionsgate Event Center just outside of the Denver area in Colorado and it could not have been more perfect. From its pop art murals to the perma-parked old yellow truck, it had it all! Lush grounds with blossoms on the trees were perfect for the “spring-y” feel Ashley and the rest of the team had wanted the shoot to emit!
“We used an Alvina Valenta gown, which had a perfect blend of lace + tulle, giving our bride a fun yet refined look,” the photographer began.
“We also loved the ivory lace top and the hints of champagne peeking through the endless layers of tulle on the bottom. This paired with a pair of couture bridal gloves, a soft, romantic up do and flawless makeup from our bride was red-carpet ready!”
Keen to celebrate all things unique the ‘groom’, wore a handcrafted custom dress shirt specifically for the shoot along with a custom bow tie and heirloom cufflinks. This was very fitting as the company is run by a father and his two sons” she continued.
“The paper drew inspiration from our bright and cheerful palette. Sweet Zion Paperie created three-dimensional stationery with pinwheels designed right into the invitation itself. For the couple’s unity event, we chose to incorporate a custom-made wine box from Bohemian Woodworx. The designs on the sliding top are all hand-burned into the wood and the box itself is hand-crafted, hand-sanded and hand-designed.”
“We really wanted a juicy bouquet to offset the calmer peach and blush tones of the shoot and the bouquet brought the heat with just the right amount of colour and flowers.”
“For the tablescape, we wanted to focus on having just a sweetheart table for our couple, using mismatched vintage embroidered chairs and a perfectly-square sweetheart table with custom woodwork. Our florist spiced this up with poppies, roses, Billy balls, lush greens and irises, among other blooms. Blush depressed glass and dusty peach napkins completed the sweetheart table, along with a simple white lace mini-table runner.”
“We finished off our shoot with an old sewing machine table to feature our desserts.” I think we are all agreed that a wedding isn’t complete without dessert, how could you resist that cute table!
