HOW TO DESIGN A COLOURFUL WEDDING ON ANY BUDGET WITH LILLY PULITZER FOR TARGET!
Always thinking outside of the box, event planner Kelly, wanted to create a shoot that could be achieved by any bride with products simply bought at their local Target store. “When we heard that Target, was coming out with the Lilly Pulitzer brand, we just knew we had our next theme” she told us. “As we love the colors of “Lilly”, we anxiously awaited the release date. We decided that if we could create an amazing design working with Target products to achieve a high end look, then with a little imagination any bride could achieve her heart’s desire”.
It was just by chance that after speaking with a member of staff in Target one day that they happened to mention that their delivery truck had just arrived, full of the beautifully designed Lilly Items, including the much sought after signature pink patio umbrella. “As they brought the cart around we were dancing in the aisle; we knew we now had our starting point! We bought everything in the cart, just knowing we would use the items again!”.
With the background set at The Dunes Beach and Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, everyone’s excitement began to grow. “Our bride was dressed in a stunning Hayley Paige gown and our groom wore a ‘Lilly’ patterned bow tie. The lighting on the ocean was perfect, the ‘Lilly’ table with its bright jewel tone colors was set, beautifully designed pastries with a Lilly Pulitzer inspired cake were showcased, and the ‘Lilly’ patio umbrella from Target was opened. Finally Lilly’s mantra “Anything is possible with sunshine and a little pink”, had came to life”.
With the help of lots of other talented suppliers, Kelly had illustrated how beautiful events can be designed for every budget. “Whether by using kitchen curtain material to design a shift dress for Jacqueline Kennedy as Lilly Pulitzer did, or by using items specially created for Target and an imagination, anything is possible!”
