How to Combine Functionality and Style in Home Design
A FABULOUS FLORAL WORKSHOP WITH ETSY
If anyone knows how to put on an amazing event, it’s Etsy. Last Wednesday we were treated to such a beautiful day of creating floral posies with Harriet Parry and the most delicious lunch at Bourne and Hollingsworth!
The day started with an abundance of flowers (as all days should), where we got to choose all sorts of foliage, herbs, flowers & berries for our posies! We were truly spoilt for choice and I (not so secretly) wanted to grab everything!
Once we had been taught the tricks of the trade from Harriet on the best ways to create our arrangements it was time to sit down for a three course lunch! (eek spoiled!) The menu was amazing and I decided to go for the seasonal white asparagus with poached egg and bearnaise sauce for starter, the roast cannon & rosemary confit belly of lamb for main and the pear and cranberry crumble for lunch and let me tell you, each course just kept getting better and better! I would HIGHLY recommend this place for food!
Actually, can we all just take a minute to admire Bourne and Hollinsgsworth in all it’s glory? This place was GORGEOUS! Hanging plants everywhere contrasted the bright white walls, and don’t even get me started on the armchairs! If I had my way I’d have been leaving with a palm tree covered chair of my own…but for some reason stealing arm chairs is socially unacceptable.
Once we were back on the train for our journey home, me and Em couldn’t resist digging into our goodie bags and to our delight it was filled with treats! The first thing we spotted was a beautiful flower lolly, we also had these fab art deco bags from Lulu and Luca, an assortment of lotions and body wash’s from Conscious Skincare and a gorgeous temporary tattoo from Wickedly Lovely! How lucky were we?!
It truly was a day filled with fun, laughter, beautiful surroundings, amazing suppliers and gorgeous food! We’d do it all over again in heartbeat! (seriously Etsy…when’s the next par-tay?!)
