THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN’
Many of you might have noticed that there have been a few changes going on around here lately, so we thought it was about time that we filled you in on what we have been up to and whatsmore the exciting plans that we have in the pipeline for this little business of ours.
If you tuned in last week, you would have heard all about the launch of the brand spanking new ‘BB boutique’ (you can read more about it here and see it in action here!). This was a huge project for us, taking 2 years to come to fruition and boy did we learn a lot on that journey. There were times when we thought that it might not happen, but we remained positive and our hard work has truly paid off.
So now it’s time to sit back and relax a little, right? Well actually, No!
As business owners we are always analysing our business, looking at ways we can improve and grow. This year has been our biggest in terms of growth but we we are not ready to stop there just yet. The world of blogging is quickly changing, no one really knows where this career will take us, which means constantly being able to adapt and evolve to keep up, something we always bear in mind when considering the future of Bespoke Bride.
In order to accommodate this change & growth we are going to need a couple of things. The first being more manpower to make it work. For the first time since becoming business partners we are now ready to welcome other members to our team. We are passionate about keeping our blog very personal but as my man Richard Branson once said, “As much as you need a strong personality to build a business from scratch, you also must understand the art of delegation”. We are very excited to say with the addition of BB boutique that we are now at that point, although the thought is also very scary. Until now we have only really had to be responsible for ourselves and so the thought of leading a team is a little intimidating, but with my managerial background & Jess’s customer Service skills, I am 100% positive that it will be something we enjoy immensely.
Secondly, the site you see now, aside from looking pretty darn amazing and fully functional (courtesy of the very talented Mermaid Gossip) is only a beta version of what we have planned for the future. We are currently using WooCommerce which means we are limited to what we can offer, whereas we are hoping future versions will be a little more amenable for both our customers and suppliers.
So that is pretty much where we are at right now, which is why we are considering crowdfunding in order to gain the finance we need to take develop Bespoke Bride into something bigger and better. In order to determine if this is the right next step for us we have launched a campaign with Idea Squares to gather support for BB boutique (you can see our pitch below) and we would really like to ask you to be part of it.
