A WEDDING FOR ANYONE WHO LIKES TO EAT DINNER FOR BREAKFAST
Jeff and Joy met at a breakfast for dinner party so it was only natural that they served breakfast for dinner right? We asked Joy, the gorgeous bride, to tell us a bit more about her day and that gorgeous Candy Anthony dress!
“Jeff and I wanted our wedding day to be laid-back, casual, and fun…just like us! It was really important to both of us that everyone had a good time. I couldn’t imagine having anything at our wedding that wasn’t a reflection of our relationship. From the first look, to the ceremony, to the dinner reception, we tried to incorporate special touches that made the day uniquely us” Joy told us.
“I originally wanted a backyard wedding, but the logistics of it just wasn’t possible with the amount of friends and family we wanted to celebrate with. So we did the next best thing, and rented the beautiful Culver Pavilion at The Muny in Forest Park for the ceremony and reception. After choosing the location everything else just fell into place.”
“I fell in love with my dress when I discovered it on Pinterest and emailed the designer, Candy Anthony, to order it from London. It was custom made with a pink petticoat and belt that perfectly matched my pink engagement ring.” She added.
“When Jeff and I were dating, he had an apartment in the Central West End neighborhood of St. Louis, where we did our first look, so afterward we popped into our favorite local cupcake shop, The Cup, for a quick treat before taking more photos.”
“At our ceremony, I wore my Grandmother’s wedding gloves and all 8 of our nieces and nephews tossed sprinkles (everything’s better with sprinkles, right??) down the aisle. What an entrance! We were heartbroken that we couldn’t include our 3 dogs in the ceremony, but my Mom designed custom programs that had their photos on them and our cake topper was custom made by Lollipop Workshop to look just like the 5 of us! Seriously, the cutest thing ever! Jeff and I met at a Breakfast-For-Dinner party, so naturally we served Breakfast-for-Dinner at the reception and gave our guests small bottles of Zing Zang bloody mary mix as favors.”
“In the end, thanks to our amazing vendors, our wedding day was just what we imagined! It was an amazing way to start our journey as husband and wife.”
