DIY FEATHER GARLAND
Hey guys! If you’re feeling the hump on this dreary Wednesday then we’re going to brighten up your day with this colourful and bold DIY feather garland! It’s super easy to make and would look awesome at a festival-boho themed wedding! Let’s get started shall we?
YOU WILL NEED:
Coloured Card // Craft Glue // Cotton // Cricut Machine (Or Exacto Knife) // Feather Template 1 // Feather Template 2 //
TIME PER GARLAND:
This obviously varies depending on whether you use a Cricut machine or a stanley knife but when I used the Cricut machine it took me less than an hour to make a 2 metre garland.
FEATHERS PER GARLAND:
For one 2 metre garland I used 42 feathers, but you could vary these depending on how close you space them on the cotton.
STEP 1:
Upload the feather templates to the Cricut Design Space and set the machine to cut them out, swapping the colours of card as you go. Alternatively print the designs onto card and cut them out by hand or with an exacto knife.
STEP 2:
Once you have all of your feathers ready, it’s time to start glueing them to your cotton. I spaced mine about 2cm apart.
STEP 3:
Keep going until all of your feathers are glued down, and that’s really all there is to it! Job done!
Super easy decor that can be made really really quickly AND cheaply too! You could vary up the colours to any theme you want as well. Happy crafting and don’t forget to check out the rest of our DIYs here! xx
