LACE & HENNA INSPIRED NAIL TUTORIAL
By the time you guys read this tutorial I’ll be at Glastonbury enjoying the music in the (hopefully) glorious sunshine! If it’s raining while you’re reading this then I am probably gutted! Ha! Anyway when it came to getting my nails done for the festival Gemma came up with the idea of creating a henna type effect on my nails and I was SO GAME!!
Us gals had already bought white henna tattoos for the festival so creating a design on my nails that matched the henna was a perfect idea and I love the way they turned out! Here’s how you can recreate the look:
YOU WILL NEED:
Jessica Geleration Sugar High (Or you could use Jessica New Kid In Town Polish) // Gelish Matte Top It Off // Dotting Tool // MoYou stamp // MoYou Bridal Stamping Nail Art Plate Collection // MoYou scraper // A Top Coat // White nail polish //
STEP 1:
Paint the nails with 3 coats of Sugar High.
STEP 2:
Add a coat of the gelish matte top it off to add a matte effect to the nails.
STEP 3:
Paint the section of the stencil that you want to use with the while polish, then using the scrape tool, scrape off any excess polish so that the white has filled in the gaps of the stencil.
STEP 4:
Using your MoYou stamp pick up the design using a rolling motion then stamp it straight onto the nail. Repeat across all nails.
STEP 5:
Tip a small amount of white polish onto a disposable surface, then using your dotting tool dab a small amount onto the end, then add dots around the stencil design. We decided to alternate between placing the dots up the nail and placing the dots around the stencil.
STEP 6:
Finally, add a top coat and allow to dry.
So what do you guys think? They’re perfect for festival season right?! I also think they would make fab bridal nails because of the lace looking effect! xx
