CHANNEL YOUR INNER BETSEY JOHNSON WITH THESE BOLD FLORAL PRINT WEDDING IDEAS
“Girls do not dress for boys. They dress for themselves, and of course, each other. If girls dressed for boys, they’d just walk around naked all the time.”
-Betsey Johnson
Just the mention of Betsey Johnson makes me think of bold floral prints, kitsch designs and pink, so much pink. If you have never heard of fashion designer Betsey Johnson, then where have you been? She is fun loving, totally over-the-top and totally empowers all women, her designs are so cute and quirky, I want to buy everything in her store.
Stylist Carly, owner of Milk Glass productions had always wanted to create a shoot inspired by Betsey Johnson. “We were feeling a little spunky! So what better way to kick off wedding season and get our creative juices flowing? We aimed to embody her essence with eye-catching/unique patterns, shapes, bright colors and lots of flowers.”
“We began with a great team. Lindsay and Kris, owners of Aldabella Photography, are two of the hardest workers and they always get the perfect angle while bringing such positive energy. Every time they turned around the camera to show us a sneak peak, I was literally jumping for joy! They are truly amazing! They helped us from start to finish in assembling the A-team. Indulge Bakery supplied the decadent dessert display with the cutest cupcakes that we quickly consumed and thoroughly enjoyed after the shoot! Plank and Pearl definitely delivered with their collection of antiques, which we totally admire at Milk Glass Productions. They had the most unique hobnail black milk glass cups that were to-die-for and so perfect for our shoot. Fiori Flowers’ Lara really wowed with her overhang centerpiece arrangement and really enhanced the Milk Glass backdrop by adding flowers to the shapes. The Fancy Envelope’s attention to detail really tied everything together with a cute envelope liner on the invite. They also created the cutest hexagonal menu and paired it with whimsical calligraphy on laser-cut place cards to match.” Carly told us.
“We shot the pictures at Moss Denver, a hip new venue located downtown Denver. Moss provides an extremely gorgeous foundation, upon which it is SO fun to take it in any direction one chooses, it is truly an elegant blank canvas. Lots of gratitude for all of our amazingly talented and generous vendors..and a special thanks to Moss for having us!”
