MAKE THIS RASPBERRY TEQUILLA SANGRIA FOR THE PERFECT MEXICAN SUMMER DRINK!
I recently moved house and quite frankly I couldn’t believe some of the stuff I found packed away, from old school year books to my 13 year old selves diary (dear god) and delightfully these beautiful Mexican glasses that I bought a few years ago when I was out there! So it seemed only right that I mix up a delicious Mexican cocktail to pour into them and celebrate! Here’s how to make your own…
YOU WILL NEED (SERVES 4-6):
1 bottle White Wine // 1 cup silver Tequila // 1/2 cup Triple Sec // 1/4 cup fresh Lime Juice // 1/4 cup Sugar // 2 pints fresh Raspberries or 10 ounce frozen (thawed) // 24 ounces (2 cans) Ginger Ale // ice // Lime wedges, for garnish (optional) // Cling film //
STEP 1:
Place the raspberries in a bowl and mash them up with a wooden spoon or muddler.
STEP 2:
Add the white wine, tequila, triple sec, and lime juice to a large glass pitcher.
STEP 3:
Stir in the sugar until completely dissolved.
STEP 4:
Then stir in the mashed raspberries.
STEP 5:
Next, cover your pitcher with cling film and pop in the fridge for several hours or overnight.
STEP 6:
Just before serving, stir in the ginger ale and top off with ice then strain the sangria into your glasses.
Don’t you just agree that these would make the most delicious hen party cocktails?! Or even welcome drinks for the wedding reception, especially if you’re having a Mexican themed shindig! Bottoms up! xxx
