DIY MARBLED CHOCOLATE SKULLS
You guys, I still don’t think I’m fully prepared for the fact that Halloween is pretty much a week and a half away! I mean honestly, where has the time gone?! I’m still planning my costume for this year and am thinking of going as some sort of evil mermaid! What are you planning on dressing as this year? Are you throwing or attending any sort of Halloween shindig?? Today we thought it would be fun to share a chocolate favour tutorial! These could be given as gifts at your wedding or just served on the dessert table for a spooky twist! They’re also SO EASY to make! Here’s how…
YOU WILL NEED:
White Chocolate // Dark Chocolate // Skull Moulds (ours were from Denny Craft Moulds) // Black Food Colouring // 2 Jugs //
STEP 1:
Melt your white chocolate in one bowl and your dark chocolate in another bowl over pan of boiling water or in the microwave.
STEP 2:
Next, add your black food colouring to the dark chocolate just to create a darker shade. Watch the consistency carefully here because the more we added the more stiffer and harder to work with the chocolate became.
STEP 3:
Pour your chocolate into two separate jugs and get ready to pour!
STEP 4:
Take your mould and alternate pouring small parts of each chocolate into the moulds, I started with a little bit of white first and then dark and then white again, etc. Be sure to try and make sure both colours are covering the face. (You can even use the end of a spoon to swirl the chocolate a little more)
STEP 5:
Once you’ve filled all of your moulds pop them in the fridge until they’re set!
Then all you need to do is simply pop them out of their moulds! So what do you think?! I love the marble effect with the two tone chocolate! You could even use candy melts if you wanted to in all different pastel colours if you were after something less Halloween-y!
P.S If you’re checking out those Halloween looking cocktails we’ll be sharing the recipe for them on Friday! Yay! xx
