MAKE THIS DIY DENIM PATCH JACKET
Brides in denim jackets are beyond cool. There’s simply no denying it. And we’ve seen a huge trend in denim patch jackets this year (the 80s are coming back baby!) So if you’ve got a denim jacket in the cupboard that you want to give a little revamp to (whilst also being practical and keeping yourself warm on your wedding day!) then we’ve got the perfect DIY for you! The best part is we’ve designed our very own patches that you can print out and use on your jacket! (say whhaaatttt!)
There’s a bumble bee patch, a peace sign, a watermelon, a pretzel and loads more available to download completely free and you can print and create them right in your own home! Our inkjet printer can be a little iffy printing things that isn’t paper but it had no problem printing out the patches onto the fabric when it was set to print on ‘photo paper’.
YOU WILL NEED:
A denim jacket // Our free printable patches template 1 // Our free printable patches template 2 // Printable fabric (we got ours from Cricut) // Fabric Scissors // Needle and thread //
STEP 1:
Download our patches above and print them off onto the fabric.
STEP 2:
Next, cut out each of your patches carefully using your fabric scissors, some of them can be a little intricate so a bit of patience is required!
STEP 3:
Using your needle and thread, carefully sew your patches onto your jacket, making sure they are well spaced out.
And that’s all there is to it! You obviously don’t have to use our patches to create your jacket either, there are so many awesome patches out there available to buy to suit tons of individual styles! So what do you guys think?!
