THIS COLORFUL GEOMETRIC WEDDING MIGHT ALREADY BE OUR FAVE FOR 2017!
We are so excited to share today’s wedding with you! Mia and Andy wanted to celebrate a cheerful wedding ceremony over a whole weekend. They wanted it to be really colorful, geometric and most importantly, include their favourite animal the flamingo!
With this challenging input stylist Sonja from Trauwerk got to work and developed the motto: “Say yes, the flamingo said” The idea: The flamingo commented every part of the wedding and put in his two cents. So the title of the ceremony book said: “Now its getting serious, the flamingo said” and the sweet table sign e.g. said: “Tastes like when we were kids, the flamingo said.”
Mia and Andy built all 300 small objects on their own. They unabashedly started this mammoth task and a nice do-it-yourself project was born. While building the objects they had plenty of time for talking. “You almost need one whole hour to build just one of the smaller forms!” Sonja told us. “For the perforated plate and the biggest geometric shapes (almost 7 feet high) we worked together meticulously to find a robust construction. And in the end it worked perfectly.” She added.
This wedding was really extraordinary and an all-round successful celebration in the sunny September in Bavaria. The guests loved the great meal and the sweet table with typical east German sweets. The atmosphere was just amazing and the party went on until dawn.

Incredible colours. Love the balloons, the cake, the flamingos! Love it all
Love this so much! We are desperately trying to make bright geometric hanging shapes like these for our own wedding!! How did you make them? They look so beautiful! We’d be so grateful for any advice! Thanks! x
