SAY ‘I DO’ TO A FOOD PARK WEDDING WITH THESE CUTE VALENTINES INSPIRED IDEAS
While I love using trends to inspire my creativity, I especially love it when an unexpected source of inspiration comes my way, rather like today’s Valentine’s Day shoot, which all started with a black and white stripe gold leaf settee that needed a face lift.
“We set off on a mission to restore the settee, failing on our first 3 attempts, we later enlisted the help of a family member and voila! We had a newly recovered piece that was vying for her time in the spotlight.” Explained Hannah, owner of Sisters Vintage Party.
“Valentine’s Day was heavy on our minds because for some reason when you see sequins, magenta, and luxe fabrics you are transported to a feeling of romance. But not a conventional setting for romance, more like an everyday opportunity to make a food park the place where you want to say I DO. Which is where Munch comes in.” She explained.
“We were able to design an entire sweetheart table for Valentine’s Day, with the luxurious fabrics and striped settee and still keep it fun for the open air setting. The black vessels added shine and texture, and were a lovely contrast to the magenta floral vintage china. We stacked 3 different plates of varying prints and sizes and paired then with gold flatware because why not!”
“Our number one piece of advice for brides is to do what you want. Don’t try to match things together because you think they have to match. You pick what you want and it will all go together, just for the simple fact that you love it! Inspiration can be found in everyday life, or on amazingly detailed blogs like this.”
“Back to the details… We tossed an entire bag of Valentine’s Day candy hearts onto the table runners which added some whimsy, and a sweet snack for the couple. The invitation suite was very generously designed by Charmingly Printed from her Etsy shop and she followed our stripes and magenta color story. The Flower Pail gave recommendation for Spring Flowers in season, which every florist will do for you, and she came up with a bridal bouquet full of ranunculus, peony, and hydrangea! Soft pinks, magenta, and crisp white.”
“Cupcat Desserts was inspired by our Valentine’s Sweetheart table and created two separate miniature wedding cakes, one for the Mr. and one for the Mrs. Her berry drizzle was the sweetest ode to magenta from nature! There were bursts of cobalt blue throughout this shoot to add a unique look to the more traditional pinks you see at Valentine’s Day (no roses here!).” Hannah added.
The brides laser cut suede Jessica Simpson flats, Mahaley’s breakfast and lunch blue food truck, Maui’s menu, and of course the brides eye’s. The groom’s bow tie was hand dyed because if you can’t find a magenta bow tie that matches – you make it work! We could go on and on but we shall stop here. Go conquer your most loved ideas!”
