DIY LIP BALM FAVOURS
As you can see from our survey results yesterday you guys gave us TONS of ideas for new DIYs and we’ve been so excited to start planning them and making them! One of the things that kept cropping us was DIY favours, favours that were cheap, favours that were easy to make and favours that wouldn’t take absolutely forever to make if you were creating hundreds of them!
So today we’re going to be sharing a super fun diy for the gal pals in your life and I promise that this is one the easiest DIYs you’ll ever make plus it requires hardly any materials!
YOU WILL NEED:
Coconut oil // lipstick in a variety of colours // small 5ml pots //
STEP 1:
Spoon two tablespoons of coconut oil into a bowl and then shave a small amount of lipstick into the bowl. I just used a knife to scrape a section off and just used some old lipsticks I had lying around that I didn’t really wear anymore!
STEP 2:
Heat the bowl in the microwave for 30 second intervals at a time, stirring in between each time scale. I found that sometimes I needed to use the back of my spoon to ‘squash’ the lipstick into the oil slightly.
STEP 3:
Once the oil has completely melted continue to stir until the lipstick has completely dissolved into the oil and you’ve got a very pretty shade of oil left.
STEP 4:
Pour the mixture into your pots carefully then set the pots aside. I found that one tablespoon of coconut oil filled 3-4 5ml pots.
STEP 5:
Repeat with a variation of lipstick colours until you’ve filled up all of your pots, then leave the coloured coconut oil to cool down and harden again.
Then that’s it! You’re done! Super easy right? I think these would be so fun to give your bridesmaids as part of a gift or goodie bag, or have them as favours from a bridal shower! You could even give them as wedding favours to all the ladies that are attending! Xxx
Very colourful, very bright and very nice!
