FUN & COLOURFUL FESTIVAL INSPIRED WEDDING AT THE WELLBEING FARM
Ok, I’ll be honest, I love reliving my own engagement story to whoever asks, I honestly think it’s one of the most exciting things about the whole marriage process. Granted, I haven’t got married yet, but when I ask anyone else about how they got engaged, I can still see that glimmer of excitement in their eye as they relive it like it was just yesterday. Just like Lucas and Bekah who met at Keele university back in 2007. 7 years later Luke proposed whilst they were away for a week in the lake district, I’ll let Bekah tell you the rest…
“Lucas booked a wonderful hotel called The Samling in Windemere, where we stayed for the night and had the BEST food I have ever tasted! After tea, we went back to our room and he got down on one knee and proposed. Needless to say, I was very chuffed and said yes.”
“Why did we choose the Wellbeing Farm? Honestly? It was the llamas in bow ties that sold The Wellbeing Farm to us! As soon as we saw them we knew that we wanted to celebrate our wedding there. It’s fun, relaxed, set in beautiful surroundings and is definitely quirky. Just what we wanted. Also, the team there have great knowledge about weddings and more props than you can shake a stick at so it made the venue dressing a whole lot easier to plan.” Bekah explained.
“The wedding planning was so much fun and neither of us stressed about anything! We had fun choosing the venue and all the suppliers together and doing as much DIY as we could to put our own stamp on things.” She added.
“We tried to achieve a festival-type feel to our reception as we both love going to Glastonbury festival together, in fact it is one of our most favourite places to be. Last year we spent a day going around all the stages and taking pictures of ourselves there to use as table names and decorations on our wedding day. Nothing like forward planning!”
“Our wedding had been 18 months in the making and we were so excited to have a brilliant day celebrating with our nearest and dearest. We’re very easy going and a bit quirky so we wanted a relaxed occasion that was a bit different to the norm. I think our wedding and all the choices we made reflects who we are as a couple, a bit crazy but lots of fun!”

Great shots by Rachel really capture the day.
What a quirky and fabulous wedding! The photos hark back to carnivals with the coloured bunting and confetti. Stunning!
