STRIPED HALLOWEEN CANDLES DIY
Yayyyy I’m so super excited to say that the Halloween DIYs officially start here! I love Halloween, even though I’m terrified of my own shadow and you probably couldn’t pay me to watch a horror film! This year I am particularly excited though because I’m going to be hosting a murder mystery party! There’s going to be spooky themed cocktails, a phsyco circus theme, creepy costumes and some of the DIYs you see here will also be used as decor for the party! We’ll be sharing the whole event with you at the end of the month, but for now, let’s kick things off with this easy and fun striped candle DIY shall we?
YOU WILL NEED:
Candles in various colours (we got these ones from Tiger for £1 each!) // Frog tape // Black spray paint (we used Matt Black from Rustoleum) //
STEP 1:
Wrap your frog tape around the candles in various places, remember the more frog tape you put on, the more colour will be on show, so it just depends whether you would rather more black colour or bright pops of colour!
STEP 2:
Spray paint the entire candle black and then allow to full dry.
STEP 3:
Repeat step 2 and allow to fully dry again, you’ll want a nice thick well covered coat of black paint.
STEP 4:
Remove the frog tape and voila! You’ve got yourself some pretty striped candles right there! For some reason, they remind me of witches tights! Ha! Now all you need is an epic candelabra to display them in!
Stay tuned for plenty more Halloween themed DIYs coming up this month, we’ve got a brand new range of photo booth props for you, fun no carve pumpkins, giant pińatas, colourful crazy wreaths and much much more! xx
