DIY HALLOWEEN PUN PLATES

Halloween doesn’t just have to be about the parties, why not throw a Halloween themed dinner this year complete with scary themed treats, a spooky centrepiece and some slogan charger plates?! These are such an easy DIY to make and really add a little extra fun to your table decor, I mean who doesn’t love a good pun?!

YOU WILL NEED:

Plastic Plates (we went with clear but colour would look cute too!) // White and Black Vinyl (Or vinyl letters) // Transfer tape // Cricut machine // A black sharpie //

If you’re using vinyl letters then you won’t need the Cricut machine, but if you’re going to cut them out yourself then it’s much easier and quicker than by hand!

STEP 1:

Cut the letters out of the quotes you want to use, sizing them so that they will feat neatly into the centre of your plates. You can get creative with what Halloween puns you like! Our favourites are the following:

Creep it real
More boos
Boo felicia
#squadghouls
If you’ve got it, haunt it
Trick or treat yourself
Witch better have my candy

STEP 2:

Once you’ve got your slogans ready, use the transfer tape to rub them onto the plastic plates, then pull the tape away leaving behind your letters on the plates.

STEP 3:

Finally, using your sharpie, draw black dots around the quotes, covering the entire plate to make a polka dot effect!

Now that you’re done you can display these plates somewhere as part of your Halloween decor, use them as place settings or chargers OR if you want to actually use them to eat from then you can do the same steps with the clear plastic plates, just stick everything onto the back so it shows you through and draw the sharpie onto the back too! Easy! xxx
