THIS BRIDE TEAMED LILLY PULITZER WITH MACKENZIE-CHILDS TO CREATE THE PRETTIEST WEDDING EVER!
Now this a bold bride with an artistic eye! We love Bridget’s graphic colorful designs and thought they’d make perfect eye candy for a Monday morning.
“The overall theme was Mackenzie-Child’s Courtly Check pattern with Lilly Pulitzer’s Exotic Garden print.” Bridget began.
“I chose a short dress which highlighted my Kate Spade glitter heels (+ I had a back up pair of Kate Spade wedges just in case). I also wore a floral belt to accentuate my waste line and went with a bold bright lip color that showed up great in pictures. My mom and sister wore outfits from Lilly Pulitzer which really tied my theme together.”
“Getting ready with them was one of the most special moments of the day, I was so relaxed with my family and my dachshund Max. I picked Ellen, our photographer, because I found out she loved dachshunds too. I knew she wouldn’t mind getting some pictures of Max and I and she knew that was important to me.” She explained.
“Having a smaller wedding meant we were able to share more with our guests and resulted in everything from the bridal shower invitations, to the wedding invitations and the color of guests clothing to connect.”
“The contrast of the black and White geometric check played off nicely with the organic shapes and bright colors of turquoise, pink, and lime green. The monstera leaf and the pineapple were two other highlights, that were integrated throughout and connected the beach life with southern hospitality. We used pineapples for vases as well as Mackenzie-Childs pitchers and other containers repurposed for flowers.”
“There were also little details from Have Mercy Gifts, a hand painted cross that we hung from the top or our ceremony arch and we gave our guests pineapple cookie cutters from Sur La Table as favors that would later make great christmas ornaments. My mother in law also provided the most unique turquoise Waterford champagne glasses to toast to.” She added.
“For our RSVP cards we asked guests to make song requests which gave us a great start for our playlist. Dancing with Ben to #41, my all time favorite Dave Matthews Band song, was the icing on the cake.”
“My one biggest piece of advice would be to video your wedding. There’s so many special moments that others witness and tell you about, but you never fully take in. It’s just amazing to be able to relive it all over again through video.”

Lovely wedding, some amazing colours and loved the unique cake. Congratulations to the Bride and Groom.
Really nice to see true colours being used in this wedding and photography. To many over processed shots these days. Thanks for sharing!
