It might only be the start of 2018 but with December through to February being the most popular months for engagements, we’re gearing up for what looks to be a very busy wedding fair season. There’s no doubt a day out with your gal pals to a wedding show is one of the most fun things you’ll do in the lead up to your wedding, packed with inspiration and all the right suppliers to make your ideal wedding happen. But attend the wrong wedding fair for you and it can quickly lead to feeling confused, disheartened and very disappointed indeed. So, if you’re looking for something a little more unique for your big day, we have the inside scoop on some of the best alternative wedding fairs to attend this Spring.
The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza
After starting out a whopping 5 years ago The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza is the go-to alternative wedding fair. With over 60 of the best wedding suppliers the alternative wedding industry has to offer, these BAAAd Ass Mother Flockers have one aim in mind and that’s to help you create a wedding that is truly All About EWE. Run by Sassy of Assassynation Photography, Jo from The Couture Company and Yasmin from Curious Coco this is a show like no other wedding fair you’ve seen!
Check out demos and workshops, have fun in photobooths and gaming stations and there’s even a colouring competition for the little ones. Experience the most epic fashion show and sample street food and fizz, it literally has everything you need to create your day, your way!

The Wedding Collective
Adding a slightly different twist on the traditional wedding fair, The Wedding Collective hosts wedding markets – fun, relaxed, pop up events in all different types of locations. With food trucks, good coffee, sweet music and super chilled vibes, this unique event plays host to a variety of talented creatives all of whom want to be part unique and real celebrations and is the creative alternative for modern day couples.

Tie The Knot
Presented by one our fave wedding bloggers, Erica of Mr & Mrs Unique and her co-organiser and photographer Binky Nixon, Tie the Knot is a fun fair full of unique, creative and inspirational wedding ideas. Meet the suppliers who will bring your dream day to life, listen to live music and sample the street food with one, two (or three!) cocktails in the chill out zone whilst your little ones have fun in the kids area. PLUS, did I mention it’s completely free?!

Chosen Wedding
The Award winning Chosen Wedding Fair is returning to Cardiff! With its fresh and contemporary approach on weddings this is the perfect fair for style-savvy couples. Most Curious
By far one of the most coolest wedding fairs around, Most Curious is the biggest indie-style focused wedding event in the UK! Launched in 2010, this well known fair has certainly made its mark in the alternative wedding space and is attended by rock stars, actors, designers and creative types alike.
Whether your having a small elopement or the party of the century, this event has something for everyone. With 150+ exhibitors who know what they’re talking about when it comes to fashion and design, inspirational displays and a catwalk there are just so many ideas to fall in love with.

Magpie Wedding
Formerly known as the National Vintage Wedding Fair, Magpie Wedding has been re-branded and returns to Manchester next month. With DIY workshops, live music, fashion parades and a FAKE WEDDING! What more could you want? This design led show is all over the latest trends whether it’s boho, festival or even jungle, so brides and grooms can be inspired by all the newest style ideas for their day.

Cwtchfest
The only wedding festival in Wales, Cwtchfest is ran by blogger and photographer Maria Farrelly, so this is a gal that knows a thing or two about weddings. With workshops, makeovers, street food, cocktails and live bands it’s easy to see why its also THE BEST!

The Indie Wedding Fair
The Indie Wedding Fair is a curated collection of awesome indie wedding suppliers in a cool warehouse space in Sheffield. Flying the flag for original, innovative and creative independents within the wedding industry, these guys want to make your day more about you and less about tradition.
So, if you want to plan a wedding without a chair cover in site and are looking for an alternative wedding fair up North, head to the Indie Wedding Fair, with street food and tunes aplenty, this is where the good vibes come easy!
